Jackie qualified 5th in his group and then finished 5th in his heat race. Since they were only taking the top 4, he had to race in the Consy race Sunday. With an outside pole starting position, Jackie easily won his consy and started the main event in 17th position. After coming through the field to as high as 4th, he finished the night 10th...with a slick right rear tire and a eyes full of dirt (his shield wouldn't close all the way). Not bad for his first time racing in the Nationals!!
Phenix City wasn't too good for the J & H Race Shop. Jackie and Harley both left there with DNFs due to mechanical failures.
Tonight's action was rained out and consys, heats and mains will be run on Sunday.
The heat races are over, and they were exciting and scary at the same time!! Jackie was in the 1st heat race, starting in the 9th position. It wasn't but a few laps and he had taken the ME1 to the front!! After getting the lead, Jackie was coming into turn 3, when something happened...the backend of the ME1 caught the outside of the track and jerked the front end up, and Jackie went off the track almost flipping the car!!! After a quick tire change by Jamie, Isaiah, and Daniel, Jackie was back on the track with about 5 laps to go but had to start in the rear. When the checkered flag flew on the heat race, Jackie was in 4th place and very close to taking over the 3rd spot. He will start the main event in the 10th position. Harley started his heat race in the 10th position. After making his way to the bubble position of 7th, he spun the car around in turns 1 & 2. After restarting in the rear, and with only a couple of laps left, he finished 8th, one spot outside of the transfer spot. He wll have to race in the consy race before the main event.
The J & H Race Shop are working feverishly to get not one, but two cars ready for the Alabama State Championship race scheduled for Sept. 25, 26 & 27. Jackie will be defending his win there last year in the ME1, with a new scheme on the car. The "Black Widow," designed by Katie Jarvis of Fury Graphics and Designs, will be making its debut Friday night.

Harley is going to make his first trip down as a driver. He is taking the H3 four cylinder car down. I will be posting updates after the heat races on Friday and also after the main on Saturday night. I will also post a link to pictures of the weekend.
Jackie, Jamie, and Harley all went to Toccoa for the Night of the Legends Labor Day race. Jackie was behind the wheel of the W5 and finished in 3rd place. Jamie finished in 4th. Harley came home in 11th in the Crate division.
Jackie was the only driver racing tonight. He took the ME1 to West Georgia Speedway. After running 3rd for most of the night, he had to pull it in with only a few laps to go due to overheating. He still ended the night in 5th place.
Westminster Speedway was the destination of 2 of the J & H Race Shop drivers. Harley took the 50 and Marcus came up from FL to race his 44. Both cars ran good, but Marcus had some problems in the main with cars blocking him towards the wall. Both were able to bring home solid finishes, with Harley in 3rd place and Marcus in 6th.
Jamie and Jackie made their way down to Toccoa for an exciting Saturday night of racing. When the night was over, Jamie was in Victory Lane, with Jackie coming in second. Great job on another 1-2 finish!!
Jackie and Ed took the ME1 to Cleveland, TN for a big Super Stock 4 race. After qualifying 17th, he was able to win his heat race, which was the 3rd one of the night. The top 6 had been locked in, so that put him starting 9th in the main event. He took the lead on lap 14, but a broke strut on lap 21 out of the 27 laps put him in the pits for the night and an 18th place finish.
Harley took the H3 4 cylinder to Hartwell, but had bad luck as the motor expired during hot laps.
Tonight was Westminster Speedway's Grand Opening!! The H3 4 cylinder and the 50 made the trip for this race. Because of a curfew, the main event wasn't ran, but the H3 finished 2nd in his heat race and the 50 won his!! Great show on the 1st night there!!
The J & H Race Shop made the trip to Toccoa, but before the main event could be ran, Mother Nature intervened and down came the rain!!
The H3 4 clylinder made its second appearance at Toccoa, but this time with a different driver. Jackie piloted the H3, with Jamie in his 50. At the end of the night, the H3 was in Victory Lane once again, with the 50 right behind it. Great job to the J & H Race Shop on finishing 1-2!!
Jackie took the ME1 down to Modoc for a regular Friday night show. The handling on the car was finally going their way, and he was able to finish the night in second place.
Jackie, Jamie and Harley all made the trip down to Toccoa Speedway for a regular night's show. Harley had a new car, the H3 4 cylinder car. On its first trip out, it showed what it could do by winning!! Jackie came in 3rd with Jamie in 5th. A good night for the J & H Race Shop.
Jackie made the trip to Modoc Speedway for their $1,000 to win Super Stock 4 race. He was able to finish strong in the heat race and had a good starting position for the main. Once the main got started, he was working his way through to the front when he got into the back of the 99 of Donnie Shealy, who was having fuel pickup problems. They put Jackie to the back of 17 cars, where he was able to finish 4th as the checkered flag flew...only feet from taking over 3rd place.
The J & H Race Shop was split up for this night of racing. Jamie was headed south to Toccoa, GA to race while Jackie was headed East to race at Cherokee Speedway. Jamie was able to work his way from a 7th starting position to win his heat race, but all was for nought when on the first couple of laps, his tire was cut when the 88 of Kevin Kelly cut down on him in turn 1 after running door to door since the green flag. Jackie was able to charge from a last row spot to finish 3rd in his heat race. The top 5 were nose to tail until Jackie hit a rut coming out of turn 2, which casued him to lose positions while he saved the car from hitting the wall. There were no cautions in the race, so he was not able to improve his position and finished 7th.
Jamie and Harley both went back to Toccoa Speedway hoping to improve the finishes from the previous week. Harley had handling problems all night and was unable to have a good run. Jamie was able to get into the lead but on the white flag lap, spun out and ended his run for win #5 of the season. Jackie went to Cherokee Speedway and was able to improve his previous week's finish by one spot with a 4th place finish.
Jamie and Harley went down to Toccoa, but neither car had a good night. Jamie had motor troubles and Harley had body damage that prevented them from finishing. Jackie went to Cherokee Speedway and was able to finish in the 5th position.
Jackie went to Cherokee Speedway with the ME1 to hopefully kick the bad luck that he has had down there and also check the handling on the car after Friday night. After winning his heat race, he easily won the main event. When he went across the scales at the end of the main, he was 5 lbs light, therefore they DQed him.
Jackie went down to Modoc Speedway with the ME1 for their Friday night program. He finished 2nd in his heat race, but wasn't able to keep that position as he was sent to the back after making contact with another car. He was able to make his way back up to 4th place with a very ill-handling car.
Jamie and Harley both made their way down to Toccoa Speedway for their Memorial Day race. With no other tracks running, there were lots of cars in all classes. At the end of a long night for both Jamie and Harley, they came away with Jamie finishing 4th and Harley not finishing the race.
Jackie attempted to race at Cherokee Speedway, but Mother Nature had other plans.
Mother Nature won on Saturday night at Toccoa Speedway, Jamie and Harley are going to try again on Memorial Day.
Jamie made the trip down to Toccoa Speedway for their regular Saturday night show and to try to get his 4th win of the season. The 4-cylinders were draw and run with Jamie starting on the second row. In no time, he was out in front and never looked back on his way to getting the win, making it his 4th of the season.
Jackie debuted the ME1 at Gordon Park on a special night as he and Amy were celebrating their 11-year wedding anniversary. When we arrived at the track, it didn't start too good. We had battery problems and could not crank the car. With the help of the #56 team of Ken Appleton and also the #47 team of Bryan Addy, we were able to get another battery in time to start the heat race. Jackie started on the inside pole for the heat race. Without any seat time, he carefully found the best ways around the track and finished 2nd place. When the green flag dropped for the main, it didn't take Jackie long to get to the lead from his 3rd starting spot. He held the lead until the checkered flag flew, getting his first win of the season and his 96th career win.
Toccoa Speedway was rained out, so there was no racing with the J&H Race Shop drivers this weekend. Next weekend, Harley and Jamie will be returning to Toccoa Speedway, where Jamie will be trying for his 4th win of the season. Jackie will be making his debut in the ME1 at Gordon Park Speedway. Good luck to the entire J&H Race Shop!
Tonight was a good night for the J & H Race Shop...but it didn't start out that way. Harley's qualifying effort wasn't as good as previous weeks, and he started his main event in the 9th position. He took the challenge of a bad starting spot and fought his way all the way up to 3rd place when the checkered flag flew. Jamie also started toward the back of his heat race~8th place. He was able to charge to the front and win his heat race. With a pole position for the main event, Jamie was able to get out in front and stay there, making him 3-for-3 at Toccoa this year.
It was another good night for the J & H Race Shop at Toccoa Speedway. Harley qualified 6th out of 11 crate cars. He was able to better his starting spot and finished a strong 4th place. The 4 cylinders were draw and run with Jamie starting 8th out of 11 cars. He made his way to the front and was in 3rd place when the white flag came out. He was able to dive under Randy Boshears, who was in second at the time, and make the pass going into turn 3 and was beside the leader in turn 4. He was able to beat Bobby off turn 4 and won by inches.
April 17, 2009
Jackie drove Jamie's #50 at Lavonia Speedway. He started on the inside pole of his heat race. Unfortunately, the car wouldn't handle the way Jackie wanted it to, and he finished 3rd, which put him starting 5th in the main. He was able to pass a few cars, but as the race went on, he lost those positions because of handling issues. He still finished in 5th place.
Jackie visited the Lavonia Speedway again, this time with a much better handling car. He was able to win his heat race. During the main, he started to fade due to his tires and the dry-slick track, he finished in 3rd.

Mother Nature Wins!
As of right now, there are no plans to run anywhere until April 11 at Toccoa. The site will be updated as soon as anything is planned.
The rescheduled 4 cylinder Crown Nationals got started Friday night with practice. Jackie went out and put down some really fast times during a couple of practice sessions. He went out for his 4th practice session and it turned out to be his last one. A couple of laps into it, the motor blew. After coasting into the pits, he was finished for the weekend.
This was the last event for the J & H Race Shop for 2008. Time to get ready for 2009!!
Jackie went to Gaffney for their 4 cylinder Crown Nationals. They were able to get practice in on Friday where Jackie had some good laps, but Mother Nature had other plans for the rest of the weekend. They will try again this next weekend.
Jamie went for his first trip as a driver down to Modoc. After no hot laps or heat race, he was able to cross the checkered flag in the 2nd position. Not too bad for his first time there, plus his first time on racing tires!
Cherokee Speedway was host of the Blue Gray 100 on this weekend. Jackie made the trip down there in the 67 with the ME1 motor in it to get some seat time before Nationals. It was not a good weekend as motor problems plagued Jackie all weekend.
We made another trip down to Phenix City, AL. After drawing a 8th place starting spot in the heat race, Jackie took the green flag with one mission--going to the front. By turn 3 he was in 2nd place...and then it happened. Something in the motor broke...or so we thought. It was actually a rocker arm came off. We were already guarenteed a starting spot in the main, so we got the motor fixed and Jackie started the main in 16th place. By lap 5, he was in third and he was able to maintain that position through to the checkered flag.

Jackie and Jamie both went to Hartwell this weekend for Hartwell's last race of the season. Jackie finished it in great fashion getting the 95th win of his career in the ME1. Jamie was able to rebound from the handling problems of the prior week to finish 3rd.

Jackie is making the trip north-all the way to Winchester, VA for the Virginia Nationals in the ME1. After setting fast time out of 46 cars in qualifying and breaking the track record, Jackie won his heat race and also the dash for the heat race winners. Saturday night started out great with Jackie having the pole position for the main event. Once the main started, Jackie started putting real estate between himself and 2nd place. This gap continued through the 35 lap feature until on lap 28 a rear axle broke on the ME1, ending his night. He ended up in the 18th position.
Jackie Holden is the 30th Annual Alabama State 4 cylinder Champion!!!
The whole gang went down to Phenix City, Alabama for the 30th Annual Alabama State Championship. Jackie was behind the wheel of the Ed Jarvis, G- Engineering, Campbell's Tree Service, Ed Powell's Auto Salvage, Collins Signs ME1, which is the defending National 100 4 cylinder champion car. After a long week of getting everything together, the heat races were on Friday night. Jackie started 8th out of 10 for the second heat race of the night. At the drop of the green flag, Jackie started his charge to the front. There was a couple of cautions that hendered him, but he was able to make it to second when the checkered flag dropped. This put him starting the main on Saturday night in 5th. When Saturday night came, the track was in great shape. The green flag dropped for the main, and by turn 2, Jackie had passed 2 cars. When the first lap had been completed, he was up to 2nd. He maintained second place until a caution on lap 8 gave him the lead when the leader had to go to the pits for a flat tire. From lap 8 until lap 30, Jackie was in control of all but one lap. He was able to manuever around lap traffic and keep his car out of trouble on his way to the win!! It was an emotional victory lane celebration as Jackie dedicated his win to Leroy "Cookie" Reynolds.
Please check out the pictures posted on the Photos page.
Jackie and Ed made the trip to a new track this weekend. I-77 was having a Shrine Race, paying extra to win in all classes. The race was disappointing as there were only 5 green flag laps in the main event. Jackie came under the checkered flag 3rd or 4th, but was paid for 7th as there was a wreck on the last lap that involved the leader.
I-77 reviewed the finish and claims that it is correct and stands as is.
Jamie continued his strong runs down at Hartwell by taking the lead early in the race and surviving a late race restart to get his second victory of the year!
Harley went back to Toccoa, where he has been finishing strong with some close competition. He came home in 6th place right on the tail of the 5th place finisher.
Harley went back down to Toccoa, where he has been finishing strong amongst a good field of cars. He kept his strong runs going by finishing 6th at the end of the race. The cars were all nose to tail in what I am sure was a great race!!
Jamie was able to get the car back together after last week and came back strong, finishing in 2nd place.
Jamie's night wasn't so great. On the first lap, he was taken out by another car and pushed into the outside wall, coming to stop under the flagstand. This put a dent in Jamie's quest to try to get the points lead from Shane Peppers.
Only 2 of the J & H Race Shop drivers were in action this weekend. Jamie and Jackie both were at Hartwell. Jamie is on his quest for the points championship and is currently running second to Shane Peppers. He tried to gain some ground on Shane, but after starting 4th, he was able to finish in second place behind Shane, who started on the front row. Jackie was in the ME1 and started 3rd. After fighting handling problems, Jackie fell back to a 4th place finish.
It was an exciting weekend with all of the J & H Race Shop drivers finishing in the top 5!! Harley went to Toccoa Saturday night. After qualifying 7th, he was able to advance to the 5th position. There was a a car that was light at the scales, so Harley ended up in 4th place! Jamie's night started out with a bang~~he won his heat race! After getting out to an early lead in the main event, Jamie looked like he was on his way to his second win this season. Luck would say different. Jamie's car jumped out of gear, causing him to lose momentum and that allowed Shane Peppers to get around him. Jamie was unable to get back around Shane and had to settle for a 2nd place finish. Jackie made the trip down for his first visit to Gordon Park for the "Showdown at the Park" in the ME1. Friday night was the heat races. The track wasn't too good and Jackie finished where he started...5th. This put him in the 10th starting spot for the main event. Jackie started slowly and methodically picking them off and by lap 14 was in the lead. He would pull away from the field to earn his 93rd career win and his 3rd in the last 4 races. After a trip to the tech shed, where the ME1 was torn down, he ws declared legal and collected the trophy for the win and the hard charger award.
Harley went to Toccoa this Saturday night while Jackie and Jamie made their way back to Hartwell. Harley was on familiar clay at Toccoa and started the night with a solid 6th place qualifying effort. He maintained that position as he finished 6th with the cars nose to tail. At Hartwell, Jamie and Jackie both had good draws for their races. Jamie started on the front row for his heat race. He and Marty Hayes had a good race with Jamie finishing second in the heat. He started on the outside second row for the main as well and the result was the same in the main. Jamie finished a close second to Marty in the main event. In the Advanced 4 race, Jackie started on the front row of the main~~it was draw and run for them. He was able to jump out ahead of Gary Gunter and hold him off for his second win in three weeks. Jackie is now up to 92 wins in his quest for 100 wins.
July 2008
Jamie and Jackie both headed to Hartwell Speedway with Jamie running for double points while Marcus headed to Toccoa Speedway for their 4 cylinder Championship. Marcus qualified 3rd and started the main in the 3rd position. After some hard racing, he experienced motor trouble and was unable to finish the race. Jamie and Jackie had some better luck at Hartwell. Altough the handling was better on Jamie's, his motor wasn't acting just right. He was able to finish in 6th place. Jackie started on the front row in his main event as it was draw and run. He maintained the lead for a while, but then Henry Vaughn got around him. Jackie finished second after a hard fought battle with Jimmy Little.
Hartwell welcomed the Ray Cook Southern National Series and ran a special Thursday night show, which included the Advanced 4 class. Jackie was once again behind the wheel of the ME1. After starting on the outside pole in his heat race, he easily took the win. The main event started with Jackie on the inside pole. He led from start to finish to claim his first win of the season.
Marcus and Jamie went to Toccoa on Saturday night since Hartwell had the night off after the special race. After starting 4th, Jamie was able to move up a position and finish 3rd in the heat race. In the same heat race, Marcus started towards the back and was able to work his way up to 5th. In the main event, Jamie had some bad luck as he was taken out by another car. His car quit running, therefore ending his night. Marcus had better luck and with just a couple laps to go, was able to pass Justin Lord for the lead and never looked back on the way to the win.
Jackie took the ME1 of Ed Jarvis to North Georgia Speedway for their Pony Championship race. This is a track that Jackie has never been to before. After qualifying in the second position, Jackie maintained that position at the finish. He was able to get around the leader, but a caution would come out, moving him back to the second position.
Jamie went to Hartwell on Saturday night and was able to bring home yet another top 5 finish. Finishing in the 3rd position, Jamie kept his top 5 streak alive.
Marcus went to Toccoa for the special 4th of July race at Toccoa Speedway. After running strong in his heat race, he spun in the main causing too much front end damage to continue. Harley went to Lavonia for the Fastrak two-day show. After qualifying 27th out of 34, Harley was unable to advance to the main through the heat race or consolation race. Jackie took the ME1 to Lavonia for a special "run what you brung" race. After taking the lead early, he was hit by another car and had to restart in the back. It didn't take long for him to get back to the front and maintain the lead until, with about 2 laps to go, he was passed for the lead and had to settle on 2nd place. Jamie went to Hartwell and was able to come home with another top 5 finish, ending up in the 4th place.
June 2008
Jackie in the ME1, Jamie and Harley all made the trip down to Hartwell Saturday night. Jackie was able to come home with the best finish for the J & H Race Shop drivers. He finished 2nd in the Advanced Four class. Jamie came home with another solid top 5 finish. He ended up 4th when the checkered flag flew in the Stock 4 race. Harley didn't have as much luck as the other guys did. He was coming through the field after a bad qualifying session but spun, knocking a shifter rod loose, ending his night.
Marcus made the trip to Travelers Rest and after finishing 2nd in his heat race, he was running a strong 3rd in the main until a racing incident happened and he had to restart in the rear. He still managed to come home with a 6th place finish.
Jackie was once again behind the wheel of the ME1. Due to an ill-handling car, he came home in the 6th place. Jamie was able to score yet another top 5 with a 3rd place finish again this week.
Harley is taking this week and next week off so that he could do some setup work on his car.
Jackie and Jamie both raced at Hartwell Speedway on Saturday night. Jackie was driving the ME1 car of Ed Jarvis, who is recovering from arm surgery, but unfortuneately had a strut bust so that ended his night.Jamie was able to come home with another top 5 finish by finishing 4th in his race.
All of the J & H Race Shop drivers are taking the weekend off. Marcus will be graduating from high school, while Jackie, Jamie and Harley are going to Eldora to watch the Dream.
May 2008
Some of the J & H crew took advantage of an off night at Lavonia to go watch some racing. Jackie, Amy, Marcus and Harley made the trip to Concord, NC to watch the WoO Sprint cars and Fastrak crate cars at the Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway. It was a very relaxing night for the J & H Shop drivers.
Saturday night, Jamie and Marcus headed back down to Hartwell with Jamie looking at making it 2 in a row. Both drivers' class got heat races with Jamie drawing 6th in his and Marcus starting toward the back in his. Jamie was able to finish the night with a solid 2nd place finish. Marcus wasn't as lucky. On the final turn of the last lap, Marcus was put into the wall by the #4 in Advanced 4 class.
Marcus was able to get his car back together for the Memorial Day race at Travelers Rest Speedway. Marcus was running strong in his heat race, finishing 2nd, but apparently some battery issues slowed the 44 down and he ended up in 6th place.

Friday night Harley went to Lavonia for the $1000 to win crate race. After qualifying 19th out of 26 cars, it was going to be a fight to get to the front. When the checkered flag flew, Harley had made his way up to 13th.
Friday night was a special night for a member of the J & H Race Shop. Jackie and Amy celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary at the same place they spent their wedding night--a dirt track!! Harley was racing at Lavonia and unfortuneately for the H3 crate car, he was having problems with the handling of the car. He started the main event 8th but fell back during the main event and finished 12th.
Saturday night, Jamie and Marcus made their way back down to Hartwell. It was draw and run in both classes with Marcus drawing the outside pole and Jamie starting 6th in his main. Marcus was able to pull out into a healthly lead, but he saw that lead go away when he spun coming through turn 2. Marcus ended the night in 5th place. Jamie started in 6th place, but was unable to content for the lead because of handling issues. He was still able to come home with a 3rd place finish as he edged Jason Briscoe at the finish line.
Harley made it to Lavonia Friday night where there was a full house of crate cars. Harley qualified 14th out of 25 cars. It was a fairly successful night with Harley bringing home a 9th place finish.
Saturday night, Jamie and Marcus made it down to Hartwell Speedway. Marcus luck with the drawing pills was better than Jamie. Marcus drew the outside pole in Advanced 4 and Jamie drew dead last in Stock 4. Marcus led the first 6 laps until a spin coming out of turn 2 caused him to go the rear. He made it back up to 6th place in the end. Jamie started 10th and was able to pick his way through the field and ended up with a 3rd place finish.
April 2008
Friday night at Lavonia, 23 crate cars were on hand for a night of racing. Harley didn't qualify too great, 16th out of 23, but he didn't waste any time making that up. Taking the high side, he made his way to the front. That didn't last long. Chris Cape spun in turn 3, and Harley had to take evasive action. He ended up spinning out as well and backing into the wall, ending his night.
Saturday night was better for the J & H Race Shop. Jamie started on the third row for his main event. It did not take long for him to be in second place behind Shane Peppers and they were off. At the end of the race, Jamie maintained his second place position as him and Peppers had a significant lead over the field. Marcus came home with a 5th place finish.
Friday night, April 18th, Harley made his way down to Lavonia for their opening night. After qualifying 5th out of 19 crate cars, a very ill-handling car ended up in the 12th place after spinning out on the white flag lap.
Saturday night, April 19th, Jamie went down to Hartwell Speedway to compete in the Stock 4 class. He started 8th, and after several tries at a start and a busted tire, he was in the rear of the main event. Not long into the race, Jamie got tangled into a wreck that was in the middle of the turn, and that ended his night.
Friday night, the 11th, we made the long trip down to Modoc for their $1500 to win race. We had a little switcheroo with our drivers for this event. Jackie was driving the #50 while Harley was behind the wheel on the #44. Jamie and Marcus were proud car owners for the night. The night started out pretty good. It was a little wet in hot laps, but they were both able to make some good laps. Harley drew into the 1st heat race while Jackie drew into the 2nd heat race. Harley started 8th and was able to make it to 3rd place when the checkered flag flew, giving him a starting spot for the main of 5th. Jackie started 5th in his heat race and after having a cut tire and having to restart from the rear, he had moved up to the 4th place when the checkered flag flew on his heat, giving him a 8th place starting spot for the main. When the green flag flew in the main, it was on. Jackie and Harley were both in the top 5 before the first ten laps were complete. Unfortunately, both Jackie and Harley had the same problem---overheating. Harley had to pull off the track but was able to return and ride it out until the end. Jackie didn't experience overheating until closer to the end, so he was able to finish on the lead lap. When the checkered flag flew after the 30th lap, Jackie was 5th and Harley was 10th. After post race inspections of the top 5, and some very iffy calls on the officials part while protesting the winner, the 3rd place car was disqualified for having a solid lift, which moved Jackie up to 4th and Harley up to 9th.
Saturday night, the 12th, Jamie, Marcus and Harley made their ways down to Hartwell. Harley took his crate car so that he could shake it down before starting the season at Lavonia this weekend. Since he was on Goodyears at a Hoosier track, he had to start in the back and was not scored. Marcus started 12th in the Advanced 4 main event. When the checkered flag flew, he had moved his way up to the fifth position. After the winner was protested and refused to pull, it moved Marcus up to the 4th position. Jamie started in the 12th place in the Stock 4 main event. Jamie was able to make his way to the front and even challenge for the lead, but after passing the leader, there was a caution. Jamie ended up 2nd. Great run for the J & H Race shop this weekend!!
Friday, April 4th--Opening Night at Lavonia was called off due to rain.
Saturday, April 5th--Racing at Hartwell called off due to rain.
Sunday, April 6th--After getting off to a good start with Marcus winning his heat race and Jamie finishing 3rd in his heat race, problems on the rough track caused Marcus to spin and restart in the back. Jamie held his own for the majority of the race until track conditions made it hard to drive. Marcus came back up through the field to finish 5th place and Jamie was able to hold on for a strong 6th place finish in his first race in a stock car.
MARCH 2008
Hartwell was called off due to rain. Hopefully next week we will get some racing in!!
Opening night at Hartwell started out on a good note. Jamie and Marcus both looked good in hot laps. When Jamie got into the pits after his hot lap session, we realized that the raditor hose had blown off. Upon further inspection, he had a blown head gasket. After realizing that, the night was done for the #50. Marcus started his main event on the second row outside. Marcus was able to maintain the 4th place position until the dirty driving of the #88 piloted by Joey Kelly body slammed him more than once, causing Marcus to have to let up to keep his car from spinning out and losing postitions. He ended the night in the 10th place position.
